Theres a show called aliens in America that just came out, and I saw a clip of it on CNN, because it so “controversial”. It had a scene where a foreign exchange student from Pakistan is in his first class at Highschool. It goes something like this:

Teacher: We have a new student today, kids! His name is Raja, and he’s from Pakistan. So, how does the class feel about Raja and his differences?

(Random Girl raises hand)

Teacher: Yes?

Random Girl: I feel angry, because Raja’s people blew up the towers in New York.

Teacher: Thats very good.

Raja: But I did not-

Teacher: No, no. In America, you can’t speak unless you raise your hand. Now then, who else feels angry at Raja?

(Rest of class raises hands)

Now, that doesn’t directly mock 9/11, but it does mock America’s reaction to 9/11, which is a good first step. Also, I tried watching the show, but it was really terrible.

An internet comic strip does not make a pertinent example. What about in the mainstream? Remember when Bill Maher got his show canceled for saying that the “terrorists” were a lot of things, but cowardly isn’t one of ‘em? We’re still not seeing the mainstream media embrace the mockery of 9/11, ‘cause people lost loved ones in it. And stuff.
